The Turkish Riviera has the longest beach season in Europe: usable swimming weather from late April to the end of October, with peak heat in July-August. Below, every month broken down for British travellers — air temperature, sea temperature, rainfall, crowd levels, price expectation and what to do. The single biggest insight: the last two weeks of September are the year's best value, with August-quality sea (27°C) at May-shoulder prices.

Honeymoons: Late May or first week of June. Lowest crowds, full hot weather.
Golfers: March, April, October, November. Cool morning play, 18-22°C, half the rates of summer.
Hen/stag groups: May, early June or late September. Marmaris/Bodrum nightlife open, prices 40% off peak.
Spa breaks: November-March. Cesme thermal hotels and Antalya city spas at lowest rates.
