Goreme has more flight days per month than any other balloon site on earth. The fairy chimneys are below you and the colour of the rock changes minute by minute as the sun comes up. We use only the two operators with full Turkish DGCA Safety Management certification.

How we book it
We hold a block of basket spaces with our two trusted operators from October for the following spring. We never use third-party brokers. If the wind drops your flight you fly free the next morning or get a full refund.
Frequently asked questions
What time does the balloon take off?
Pickup is around 4:30am, lift-off between 5:30am and 6:30am depending on the season. You are back at your hotel before 9am.
How safe is hot-air ballooning in Cappadocia?
Cappadocia has flown over 1.5 million guests with very few incidents. The two operators we work with have full DGCA Safety Management certification. Flights only operate when winds are below 6 knots at lift-off and 12 knots at altitude.
Can I cancel if the weather looks bad?
You don't need to. The operator cancels for you if the wind is unsafe, and you fly the next morning or get refunded. Our concierge handles the reschedule.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes, six years old, and the child must be tall enough to see over the basket edge (around 110cm).
What should I wear?
Layers. The basket has a burner overhead so the air is warm, but the field at 5am in April is cold. Closed shoes only, you will be in long grass.
