The Lycian coast has 200 miles of pine-forested coves, ruined cities at the water line, and turquoise water. A gulet is a traditional Turkish wooden two-masted ketch — slow, solid, and built for swimming, not racing.

How we book it
We charter from a fleet of 24 gulets we have personally inspected. The cheapest gulets cut corners on the engine room and the chef. Ours don't. We send you the captain's WhatsApp before you board.

What is a gulet exactly?
A gulet is a traditional Turkish wooden two-masted sailing yacht, originally built for sponge diving and cargo. Modern charter gulets carry 6 to 16 guests in 4 to 8 cabins, with a crew of 4 to 6.
Do we sail or motor?
Both. The wind on the Lycian coast is light in the morning and afternoon, fresh in the evening. Most days you motor between coves and sail the long stretches. The captain decides.
Are the cabins air-conditioned?
Yes on every gulet we charter, but with a quiet generator that runs only at night and during siesta. Days you sleep with the hatch open.
What is the food like?
Excellent and very Turkish. Mezze, grilled fish, slow-cooked lamb, salads from the morning market. The chef shops every two days at the village market.
Can we get on and off?
Yes — most charters start in Fethiye, Gocek, Marmaris or Bodrum and end in Kas, Olympos or back to start. The captain is flexible if you have flights to make.
