Belek
Five-star fairways on the Mediterranean
Belek is the only place in the eastern Mediterranean where you can play three different championship golf courses before lunch and still be on a private beach by tea.
Built from scratch in the 1980s as a high-end resort belt, the strip stretches twenty kilometres east of Antalya airport and shelters fifteen 18-hole courses, the highest concentration of five-star all-inclusive hotels in Turkey, a still-protected pine forest behind the dunes and a wide, fine-sand coastline that has held the Blue Flag for two decades. We send British golfers, families on premium all-inclusive and couples wanting a quiet, manicured Riviera base who would rather not stay in a busy resort town.
The five experiences that make a Belek trip unforgettable
Fifteen championship courses
Carya, Montgomerie Maxx Royal, PGA Sultan, Lykia Links and Cornelia all sit within ten minutes of each other and offer pre-booked British tee-times at twilight rates from £55.
Premium all-inclusive belt
Regnum Carya, Maxx Royal, Rixos Premium, Cornelia Diamond and Titanic Deluxe set the European standard for swim-up suites, à la carte dining and family kids clubs in English.
Quiet pine-and-sand coastline
A continuous twenty-kilometre Blue Flag beach backed by Calabrian pine forest, walking and cycling paths to the Acisu river mouth and almost no day-trippers from outside.
Aspendos and Perge ruins
The best-preserved Roman theatre in the Mediterranean is fifteen minutes inland; we run private guided half-days that finish with lunch at a village trout farm.
The right month makes the trip
Ideal: April to June and September to early November
Golfers prefer the cooler shoulder months when fairways are fast, hotels are at their best occupancy and sea temperatures still hold above 22 Celsius. July and August are bookable but green fees rise and play starts at sunrise to beat the heat.
Combine in a single trip
- →Antalya old town (35 minutes by car)
- →Side and Aspendos (40 minutes east)
Belek: questions British travellers ask us
When is the best time to play golf in Belek for British visitors?
+
October to early December and February to May are the prime windows. Daytime temperatures sit between 16 and 26 Celsius, the rough is in proper shape and most courses run twilight rates. Summer golf is possible but most British groups tee off at 6.30am to finish before the worst heat.
Which Belek hotel is best for a non-golfing partner?
+
We pair golfers with their non-playing partner at Maxx Royal Belek, Regnum Carya or Cornelia Diamond. Each has a long, quiet sand beach, a full-service spa, several adult-only pools and à la carte restaurants that take walk-in bookings, so the non-golfer gets a proper holiday rather than waiting at the clubhouse.
Is Belek good for families with children?
+
Yes. Rixos Premium Belek, Titanic Deluxe Belek and Cornelia Diamond run dedicated kids clubs in English from age 4, water parks with shaded toddler pools, and offer connecting family rooms. The beaches shelve gently for the first thirty metres which suits weaker swimmers and grandparents.
How far is Belek from Antalya airport and old town?
+
Belek is 30 to 40 minutes east of Antalya airport on a fast dual carriageway. Antalya old town (Kaleici) is 45 minutes west. We pre-book a private English-speaking driver for every transfer and a half-day in Kaleici works well as a non-golf morning.
Can we drink the water and is Belek safe at night?
+
Drink only sealed bottled water (every hotel includes it free in-room). Belek itself is one of the safest resorts in Turkey: it is essentially a managed strip of luxury hotel grounds, the main road is well lit, and there is a tourist police office at the village junction. We brief every client on reputable taxi ranks and English-speaking pharmacies on arrival.
